What you will read about
DAYS 1 THROUGH 7
The first week.
Why willpower keeps losing. What to do when an urge hits at night. The honest reason most attempts collapse around day 7. A simple change to your phone that takes the late hour off the table.
DAYS 8 THROUGH 14
What is actually happening.
The plain language version of what chronic high novelty does to a reward circuit. Why social media scrolling ends in relapse more often than searching for porn does, and what to do about it. What dopamine actually is, and what it is not.
DAYS 15 THROUGH 21
The moments that decide.
The "just one peek" loop and how it works on you. What the flatline is and how long it lasts. How to handle a slip without spiraling. The quiet lie your brain tells about one last time.
DAYS 22 THROUGH 32
Building the new shape.
What goes in the space the habit used to fill. What to do alone at night, specifically. Why 90 days is not a finish line. How this stops needing daily effort.

A taste of the voice
FROM DAY 1 — THE WILLPOWER REFRAME
If you have tried to quit using willpower alone and it did not hold, the conclusion is not that you lack discipline. It is that the architecture you were fighting was unchanged. The decision was steady. The situation overrode it. The interventions that actually work in the recovery literature, environmental friction, replacement rituals, addressing the underlying load, do not replace willpower. They reduce the load it has to carry.
FROM DAY 10 — THE DOPAMINE TRUTH
Dopamine is not the pleasure molecule. It is the motivation molecule. Chronic high novelty stimuli can shift the motivation baseline without changing the pleasure baseline, which means you can find yourself reaching for something compulsively without enjoying it more, or in some cases enjoying it less. Recovery is not getting back lost dopamine. It is letting the motivation circuit recalibrate to ordinary stimuli over weeks and months. The 24 hour reset you will see on TikTok is not real. The gradual recalibration is.
Day 1 starts tomorrow.
