How to block porn in Brave on iPhone

Brave has strong ad and tracker blocking built in, but none of that blocks adult sites. The good news is that because Brave on iPhone runs on Apple's engine, you can block porn in it the same way you would anywhere else. Here is how, including Brave's private tabs.

Why Brave is easy to cover on iPhone

On iPhone, Apple requires every browser, Brave included, to run on the same WebKit engine underneath. So a phone-wide filter sits beneath Brave and reaches it automatically. Switching from Safari to Brave does not slip past those layers, which is one of the few times Apple's strict rules work in your favor.

The setup that covers Brave, and stays on in private tabs

Escape's Deep Block is built for exactly this. Most blockers are Safari-only and vanish the moment you open Brave. Deep Block covers every browser on the phone, Brave included, and it stays on in Brave's private tabs, where most blockers quietly switch off. That private-tab gap is the most common way people get around a blocker without even meaning to, and Deep Block closes it. It is free to download with no account, and the all-browsers guide has the full picture.

The free layer that also covers Brave

Apple's Screen Time filter applies to Brave too. Go to Settings, then Screen Time, then Content Restrictions, then Web Content, then Limit Adult Websites. It is free and worth turning on, though it catches the big sites and misses newer ones, so it works best as one layer rather than the whole defense. The Screen Time guide shows the full setup.

Should you keep Brave at all?

Early on, fewer browsers means fewer paths and one less decision at a bad moment. If you are not attached to Brave, keeping one browser and covering it well is simpler. If you do keep Brave, the all-browser methods above already reach it, so there is nothing extra to set up.

Escape blocks porn in Safari for free, extends to every browser with Deep Block, and adds a 90-second urge ritual, practice games that retrain how you meet an urge, and 27 short courses on identity and the long arc of recovery. No account, no personal tracking.
