How to delete porn from your phone (and keep it gone)

Deleting porn from your phone is really two different jobs. Clearing what is stored is easy. Keeping it gone is the part that actually matters, and it is the part most people skip. Here is how to do both.

Step one: wipe what is stored

Delete saved images and videos from Photos and from Files, then empty the Recently Deleted album so they are really gone. Next, clear your browsing trail in Settings under Safari, using Clear History and Website Data. That removes the stored files and the record. It is a genuinely clean slate, for about a day.

Why deleting is not enough on its own

Here is the honest part. Clearing your history removes the record, not the access. The sites are one search away, and anything you deleted can be back in seconds. A clean slate feels good, then the same door is still standing open. The delete is step one, not the fix, which is why people do it over and over and stay stuck.

Step two: block it so it stays gone

The move that makes the cleanup stick is a blocker. Put a Safari content blocker in place so the sites do not load, and if searching is your trigger, block the search words too. Now the clean slate stays clean, because the door is shut, not just tidied. Escape's Safari blocker is free and takes a minute to turn on, no account, and the one-minute setup walks through it.

Handle the other browsers and private tabs

A Safari-only cleanup leaves two gaps, other browsers and private tabs. Either delete the extra browsers early on, or use blocking that covers them and stays on in private mode. The piece on private and incognito blocking covers that gap. Fewer paths plus a blocker is the setup that actually holds, and the full iPhone guide puts it all together.

Escape blocks porn in Safari for free, extends to every browser with Deep Block, and adds a 90-second urge ritual, practice games that retrain how you meet an urge, and 27 short courses on identity and the long arc of recovery. No account, no personal tracking.
